Medeso recommend all users to install the service packs which is complete installations which replace the original 9.0 installation. In excess to multiple fixes and improvements ANSYS 9.0 sp1 now support Unigraphics NX 3 and CATIA V5 R14. For the first time, ANSYS Environment also support Linux on the new 64-bit Intel processor EM64T. ==================================================================== COMPANY NEWS *ANSYS Acquires Century Dynamics ANSYS has acquired Century Dynamics, Inc., a leading provider of sophisticated yet easy-to-use simulation software for solving linear, nonlinear, explicit and multi-body hydro-dynamics problems. Century Dynamics' main product, AUTODYN(R), can solve many types of problems with its extensive solver library. Solvers include computational structural dynamics finite element solvers (FE), finite volume solvers for fluid dynamics (CFD), mesh-free particle solvers for high velocity, large deformation and fragmentation problems (SPH), and multi-solver coupling for multi-physics solutions including coupling between FE, CFD and SPH methods. "We are constantly looking to strengthen our product offering so that we can address a larger percentage of the overall simulation needs of a virtual product development process," said Mike Wheeler, vice president and general manager of the Mechanical Business Unit at ANSYS. "Our immediate goal with Century Dynamics is to begin technology-sharing projects and have products embedded into the ANSYS(R) Workbench(TM) later this year." About Century Dynamics, Inc. Century Dynamics designs, develops, globally markets and supports advanced engineering and scientific simulation software. It provides solutions for understanding how designs and processes behave in real world applications. Century Dynamics services a wide spectrum of industries including aerospace, automotive, defence, education, marine, offshore, petrochemical, power and security. For two decades, the world's most prestigious companies and institutions have relied on Century Dynamics' significant, unique and proven technologies coupled with its world-class technical expertise to give them insight into solutions for their most difficult engineering problems. You will meet IBM representatives and Medeso and have the opportunity to look at the analysis combination of Workbench and CATIA V5. Please visit www.scaf.t.se, follow the link "evenemang" to read more. If you have any questions you are welcome to call Jan Mossfeldt +46 21 15 13 52. ==================================================================== MEDESO Group Medeso AB has been marketing and selling leading software for mechanical analysis since 1987 and has been a full line ANSYS reseller since early 1998. We work with stress analysis, mainly the Finite Element Method (FEM), motion analysis, computational fluid dynamics and different types of piping and pressure vessel analysis. A few years ago we expanded our field of competence to low and high frequency electromagnetics. Medeso Oy was started 2001 to strengthen Medeso's local presence and is led by our office manager Pekka Mölkänen. Medeso AB recently set up an office in Sandvika, Norway to serve our Norwegian and Danish customers.
