Problem with grey windows in ANSYS Workbench
Several users have
experienced that some Workbench module
will only display a large grey field. The problem is that the
files defining the Workbench appearance have been corrupted.
To fix the problem, remove the files as follows:
* Exit ANSYS Workbench.
* Perform a search for files containing Win.xml in the name. Make
sure
that the option for searching in hidden folders is turned on.
Usually, the location will be
C:/Documents and Settings/user name/Application Data/Ansys/v110/
or similar.
* Remove all the files with names ending with Win.xml
* Restart ANSYS Workbench.
Changing background logo in ANSYS Workbench
You can change the ANSYS logo in ANSYS Workbench to your
company logo. The program always uses an image file called
ANSYS_150.png as background. The file is located in the
ANSYS installation, usually in the directory
C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v110\AISOL\CommonFiles\Bitmaps\
You can therefore make a backup copy of this file, take your
own image file of choice, rename it ANSYS_150.png, and place
in this directory.
Note: If no file named ANSYS_150.png exists in this directory, you
will
get an error message when starting Workbench. Therefore, if you
don't want any logo at all, make a tiny (1x1 pixels) dummy image
file with that name.
