Hardware recommendations
Many users have asked what platforms are best suited for running ANSYS. There is now a detailed
document from ANSYS available that discusses this. Go here to download it.

Geometry checking in DesignModeler
As a beta feature, DesignModeler can detect short lines, small areas, sliver surfaces, etc, in the geometry and display where they are. This is useful for dealing with problematic geometries.
To use it, you must first activate beta features in ANSYS Workbench from the top menu
Tools > Options. Choose Common Settings > User Interface and set
Menus/Toolbars > Show Beta Options = Yes
After doing this, you can access the "Model Analyzer" feature in DesignModeler from
Tools > Analysis Tools.
You can specify limits for area size, edge length, and so on and then request a search.


Company News

Medeso begins the new year with two new employees and a new office in Denmark!

Lars Voigt will be responsible for local sales and the startup and expansion of our Danish
office. Lars holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Fluid Dynamics from
the Technical University of Denmark and has previously worked at ANSYS Technical Services
and as ANSYS account manager in Benelux.

Per Karlsson will work in our Västerås office and handle internal IT issues and IT related support towards our customers. Per has previously worked at the IT department at Västmanlands Läns Tidning.
