CAD import updates: Service packs have been released for supporting import of UG NX6 and SolidEdge v20.
These service packs are available at the ANSYS Customer Portal.
Log in and choose Download Software > CAD Special Versions.

Tips and Tricks

Material data can be exported from ANSYS Classic to ANSYS Workbench as follows:
a) From ANSYS Classic, create a file with current material data using the command CDWRITE,MAT,...

b) From ANSYS Workbench, import it by starting Engineering Data and choosing
Import > Materials, Click Add and choose ANSYS cdb file type. Specify the file created in step a) and confirm.

 CFX, Internal component modeling

Do you want to include internal components such as a fan without having to include geometry and dynamics? Use a domain interface where you define the fan pressure drop,  mass flow or other desired component characteristics. See pictures
