This training course is intended for ANSYS Workbench users who want access
to functionality not directly available
from the graphic interface. Examples of such features include:
- Advanced material models such as composites, creep, Chaboche or
Drucker-Prager
- Importing data files from 3rd party programs and applying as loads
or boundary conditions
- Performing analysis types such as rotor dynamics, acoustics and
piezoelectrics
- Using surface-to-surface radiation in thermal analysis
- J integrals for fracture mechanics
- Superelements
- Restarting an analysis
- Performing various algebraic operations on a chosen subset of
results
- Postprocessing result types not accessible from the menus
During the course, you will learn the basics of the
ANSYS Mechanical APDL
interface and the ANSYS APDL scripting language. Topics
include:
* Exporting a model from ANSYS Workbench to ANSYS APDL
* The ANSYS APDL interface
* Components and selection methods
* Preprocessing: Materials, elements and other properties
* Postprocessing
* Parameters, macros and the scripting language
* Using APDL scripts inside ANSYS Mechanical
